The PRT of Kandahar is made up Canadian soldiers, civilian police officers directed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and representatives of the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and the Canadian International Development Agency. The PRT helps the Afghani government extend its authority in Kandahar to facilitate the development of a stable and autonomous environment for the Afghan people.
